1964  Until current studies give a reasonably accurate estimate of the number of whitetails in New Brunswick . . . it is impossible to say whether worried sportsmen . . . are right.
1966  At the same time a count in March indicated an average of 32 surviving calf elk, a 100 cows, 48 mule deer fawns, a 100 does, and 40 whitetail fawns, a 100 does.
